7 1/2 Inch Gauge Bus Tour, Wednesday, August 23
A bus tour of two outdoor 7 ½ inch gauge live steam railroads in the North Texas area has been arranged during the convention. The two railroads on the tour are:
The Able Springs and North Texas (AS&NT) owned by Jack Haskins and located north of Terrell, Texas to the east of the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex.
The Bucksnort Northern Railroad (NBRR) owned by Richard Atchison and located near Van Alstyne, Texas to the northeast of the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex.

This group just celebrated its 50th birthday in 2022. Members get together several times a year at member's tracks.
On Wednesday the 23rd, the bus tour will be approximately 8 hours in length. this is the TOUR PLAN:
Depart from the Gaylord to the AS&NT which will be a 64 mile ride taking about 1.25 hours.
Convention attendees will ride the trains on the AS&NT for 1 ½ to 2 hours.
Attendees will then board the bus for trip to the BNRR. The trip to BNRR will be 65 miles and again about 1.25 hours plus time for lunch.
The bus will stop along the way for lunch.
Connvention attendees wille ride trains on the BNRR for 1 ½ to 2 hours.
Attendees will then board the bus doe the return to the Gaylord. The return trip to the Gaylord is 54 miles that will take about an hour.
CAUTION: Remember, these train rides are all outside, in the hot Texas Sun. Stay hydrated and wear clothing and hats that protect you from the hot, blazing Texas sun.
These AS&NT and BNRR will only be open for this bus tour. They will not be available any other time.
